Job Summary

The Interior Installation Technician II plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of aircraft interiors at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. This position requires a strong understanding of interior installation, fabrication, and removal procedures, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Aircraft Interior Installation: Safely remove, install, and/or fabricate aircraft interiors, including trim, carpet, soundproofing, light structure, cabinetry, panels, and other accessories, in accordance with company design specifications and quality standards.
  2. Material Tracking: Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work.
  3. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment, such as hand tools, band saws, shears, sanders, and brakes, and properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.
  4. Quality and Safety: Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies, use personal protective equipment as required, and address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk.
  5. Collaboration and Adaptability: Assist technicians, under supervision, with aircraft maintenance requirements, adapt to sudden schedule changes, and work with lead and higher skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of application installation, fabrication, or related experience preferred.
  2. Language and Communication: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  3. Physical Demands: Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.
  4. Computer Literacy: Must be computer literate.
