We are seeking a highly motivated and talented intern to join our Computational Science team for the first half of 2025. As an intern, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quantum computing algorithms for mRNA optimization and quantum chemistry problems.

This role will involve working closely with computational scientists, bioinformaticians, and quantum chemists to develop new applications for quantum computing in mRNA drug design. You will be accountable for delivering independent research, deploying quantum algorithms, and presenting your project.

We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, deeply curious, and exhibits an excellent work ethic. You should be eager to expand your existing quantum computing skillsets with cutting-edge methods while applying them to impactful scientific questions.

The successful applicant will work on fundamental and applied research at the frontiers of applications of quantum computing for mRNA drug design, including optimization, quantum chemistry, and quantum machine learning.

Key responsibilities include developing novel quantum algorithms for mRNA optimization and related problems, executing algorithms on state-of-the-art utility scale quantum hardware, and staying up to date with the latest developments in quantum computing algorithms and applications.

Requirements include a strong background in quantum computing, experience with Python, and a deep understanding of quantum computing algorithms for optimization and quantum chemistry.
