Job Title: Maintenance Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team at the University Athletic Association at the University of Florida. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance tasks, including plumbing repairs, rough carpentry work, painting, and minor electrical work.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our facilities
  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Conduct minor carpentry work, including hanging signage and performing other tasks as needed
  • Work effectively with others to ensure a positive and customer-focused environment
  • Ability to work a non-standard work week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of general maintenance experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
