Esta posición realiza funciones de ingeniería civil y geotécnica en apoyo al diseño, construcción y gestión de proyectos públicos y privados. Esta posición tiene supervisión funcional sobre el personal asignado.
DEBERES PRINCIPALES:
- Realizar una amplia gama de pruebas de materiales, inspecciones de construcción, redacción y tareas de ingeniería civil.
- Preparar informes, diseños, planes y especificaciones para mejoras civiles en proyectos que van desde residenciales, comerciales, industriales u otros proyectos similares.
- Diseñar, permitir, inspeccionar y gestionar el desarrollo de sistemas de agua, sistemas sépticos o instalaciones de gestión de tormentas.
- Seleccionar, monitorear e inspeccionar los materiales de construcción apropiados para su uso en proyectos.
- Colaborar con agencias de jurisdicciones y clientes para obtener la aprobación de regulaciones de planificación y/o construcción.
- Interactuar con personal profesional relevante como arquitectos o ingenieros estructurales. Asistir en la respuesta a preguntas de contratistas, agencias públicas y funcionarios, o del público en general sobre políticas, procedimientos y prácticas.
- Monitorear e inspeccionar el trabajo realizado por los contratistas.
- Administrar y gestionar obras privadas y públicas para contratos de licitación y los diversos componentes de licitación en proyectos.
- Gestionar proyectos. Junto con los Gerentes de Proyecto y Construcción, ayudar a resolver problemas en el campo.
- Capacidad para preparar informes técnicos sobre diferentes disciplinas dentro de la Ingeniería Civil.
- Realizar Estudios de Tráfico para determinar los niveles de servicio (LOS) existentes y proyectados en carreteras e intersecciones para el desarrollo de proyectos.
- Realizar otras tareas relacionadas según sea necesario y asignado.
CUALIFICACIONES MÍNIMAS:
- Título universitario en ingeniería civil o equivalente.
- Certificado como Ingeniero en Entrenamiento (examen de Fundamentos de Ingeniería aprobado).
- Habilidades en la realización de cálculos de ingeniería y en la preparación de diseños de ingeniería.
- Excelentes habilidades de comunicación verbal y escrita.
- Buena gestión del tiempo, organización y atención al detalle.
- Orientación empresarial en la toma de decisiones diarias.
- Capacidad para levantar y mover hasta 70 libras.
- Capacidad para trabajar en un entorno de equipo.
- Se requiere una sólida ética de trabajo y responsabilidad.
- Experiencia con un programa de diseño asistido por computadora (como AutoCAD) es preferida.
- Capacidad para completar una variedad de tareas como el desarrollo de dibujos, especificaciones y memorandos técnicos que presenten la base del diseño.
- Fuertes habilidades de redacción técnica y analíticas.
- Conocimiento práctico de códigos de construcción, manuales de diseño y prácticas de construcción preferido.
HABILIDADES PREFERIDAS:
- Experiencia con un programa de diseño asistido por computadora (como AutoCAD).
- Conocimiento y uso del cumplimiento del Código de Energía del Estado de Washington.
- Habilidades en Sistemas Telefónicos (Mitel) y Microsoft Suite.
- Excelentes habilidades analíticas y atención al detalle.
- Fuertes habilidades de comunicación e interpersonales.
- Conocimiento de regulaciones y estándares estatales y federales para diseño, licitación y construcción.
- Habilidad para analizar, interpretar y preparar informes.
- Habilidades en comunicación oral y escrita.
- Habilidad para ejercer juicio profesional en ingeniería para lograr resultados consistentes con los objetivos.
DEMANDAS FÍSICAS/AMBIENTE DE TRABAJO:
- El trabajo se realiza típicamente mientras se está sentado en un escritorio o mesa o mientras se está de pie o caminando.
- El trabajo se realiza típicamente en una oficina y al aire libre, ocasionalmente en clima frío o inclemente. El empleado puede estar expuesto ocasionalmente a maquinaria con partes móviles.
