Electrical Engineer Job Description

At FREEDOM SURVEILLANCE LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the coordination and technical leadership of electronic hardware strategies and the electrical design and development of customer products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and document electronic hardware for customer products and related electronics, with management direction, to meet both the customers' requirements and manufacturing requirements.
  • Provide assistance to the Mechanical Design for test for product, test and tooling development.
  • Perform evaluation of quality measurements on electronic designs in accordance with a verification plan.
  • Create documentation related to an electronic design project.
  • Participate in research and development for new design methods and tools.
  • Work with Sustaining Engineering (product, process, test and quality) to develop products that leverage manufacturing and test processes.
  • Communicate technical challenges and work with peers to create and implement solutions.
  • Develop and follow project plan; Gather and report project status to leadership.
  • Deploy processes and systems within the workgroup.
  • Participate in identification and development of advanced/new technologies.
  • Communicate technical challenges and implement solutions where possible and as required.

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of mechanism design; Ability to creatively and efficiently design mechanical portions of products, tooling and test fixtures based on various applications and technologies.
  • Proven ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work well individually or in teams.
  • Knowledge of schematic capture tools.
  • Familiarity with advanced technologies and applications.
  • Demonstrate effective use of lab equipment.
  • Possess strong problem solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
  • Ability to take on project leadership/ownership.
  • Available for minimal travel as needed.
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, developing electronic hardware and software.
Education:

4 year Engineering or Technical degree (EE or ME) preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by senior management.
