Quality Assurance Program Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee quality assurance initiatives and programs across various products and platforms, ensuring thorough execution and reporting of all deliverables, workflows, and stakeholder relationships.
- Support and manage projects in collaboration with regional teams, cross-functional partners, and QA teams, while monitoring project timelines, scope, budget, progress, risks, issues, and key performance indicators.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and the adoption of best practices within the organization.
- Establish reporting metrics and develop data-driven visuals to provide insights to both business and technology teams. Lead team and departmental meetings to share updates, disseminate information, train personnel, influence change, and facilitate effective decision-making.
- Work closely with development leads to deliver high-quality, value-added services to assigned products and areas.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the assigned team, ensuring effective performance management and fostering a collaborative, positive work environment.
- Promote efforts that enhance synergy, trust, collaboration, and inclusivity within the organization. Manage relationships with key partners, resources, colleagues, and leaders, ensuring transparency regarding critical decisions and trade-offs.
- Ensure that requirements and risks are consistently addressed throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Create, monitor, and control metrics that impact product and team quality, analyzing product quality and usability, associated system limitations, and reporting on risk.
- Regularly review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and collaborate with leadership to adjust work or resources to enhance test quality, software development best practices, and customer experience.
- Provide resources and support while overseeing adherence to master test plans for products. Contribute to the long-term vision for quality assurance and facilitate communication with stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in QA, Engineering, Product/Program Management, or a related field is required.
- Experience in roles such as scrum master, product owner, or program manager within teams utilizing Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
- Proven experience leading teams or projects with direct or indirect leadership responsibilities.
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred.
- Ability to adhere to established project management processes, organize software development teams, and create a welcoming work environment (both in-office and remote).
- Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA, and Microsoft Office applications (including Project and Visio).
- Experience coaching scrum teams and stakeholders on innovative working methods, including established methodologies and emerging trends in software development and project management.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks for a cross-functional team and identify and mitigate risks in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor information for various audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), particularly QA processes in agile and waterfall development settings.
- Experience with software development and testing methodologies and tools.
- IT or software testing certifications.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as XML/HTML, JavaScript, Python, Java, C/C++/C#, SQL.
- Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, and/or Product Owner, ISTQB.
- Familiarity with Blizzard Entertainment's products and services.
- A high level of gaming knowledge and/or skill.
- A passion for Blizzard's product offerings.
