We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our inpatient float team, specializing in critical care settings. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a dynamic hospital environment.
Job Responsibilities
As a Float Nurse, you will:
- Deliver exceptional nursing care by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating care tailored to patients of various ages, while incorporating family-centered approaches.
- Gather and analyze patient data from medical records to ensure coordinated care.
- Be prepared to float between Intensive Care Units (ICUs) and other departments as needed.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care discussions.
- Support patients and their families in understanding and engaging with their care plans.
- Assess and address the learning needs of patients and families prior to education.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Administer medications and treatments promptly and accurately.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives within the unit.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in nursing or an equivalent qualification, with current enrollment in a BSN program or a related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- A minimum of one year of nursing experience.
- A valid RN License from the Texas Board of Nursing or Nurse License Compact.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, time management abilities, and critical thinking capabilities.
