Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutritionist to join our team at Comprehensive Community Action. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nutrition information and education to WIC participants, conducting nutrition assessments, and developing personalized nutrition plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the nutritional status of WIC clients and provide personalized nutrition plans
  • Develop and implement nutrition education programs to promote healthy eating habits
  • Conduct nutrition assessments and refer clients to relevant services as needed
  • Assign food packages to WIC participants based on individual needs
  • Troubleshoot computer problems with the QWIC system and ensure accurate data entry
  • Participate in JCAHO quality improvement committee meetings and ensure compliance with State and Federal standards
Requirements
  • Minimum of BS Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Licensure in the State of Rhode Island, preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience with the QWIC system
  • Skilled in anthropometric and hematological measures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment

The Nutritionist will work in a fast-paced office environment, with occasional manual dexterity required for keyboard work and blood draws. The position requires moderate physical activity, including walking, standing, and occasional lifting. The Nutritionist must be available for training and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
