Surgical Services Clinical Expert and Educator

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is a leading healthcare provider seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical expertise with educational responsibilities, fostering exceptional patient care and staff development.
The ideal candidate will possess 2 years of Operating Room experience, a strong background in surgical technology, and excellent communication skills. As a change agent, you will drive quality improvements through the application of your clinical expertise, promoting best practices within our department.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing education, research, coaching, direct care, consultation, leadership collaboration, and ethical decision-making for patients and surgical services staff
- Serving as a clinical expert and promoting quality through the utilization of clinical expertise
- Providing clinical care as needed when staffing demands it
To excel in this role, you must have:
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Graduation from a Surgical Technology Program
- Two (2) years of Operating Room Surgical Tech experience
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist
- BLS certification
