Position Overview:

The role of the Information Security Engineer, Lead is pivotal in advancing the development and execution of cybersecurity solutions, focusing on areas such as vulnerability management, network security, application security, and database security. This position requires effective communication with both senior management and operational staff, ensuring clarity in both verbal and written interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of over 15 technical professionals within a significant cybersecurity initiative.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining high standards of quality and meeting established deadlines.
  • Set clear objectives and timelines, considering the diverse skill sets of team members, while adapting to dynamic client environments.
  • Collaborate closely with senior program leadership as a vital member of the program management team.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in overseeing program or project operations, including the development of engineering and management protocols.
  • Proficient in building and managing Windows Server and Active Directory, as well as network devices like Cisco or Juniper.
  • Experience in managing cloud security operations, including identity and access management, secure configuration, and data protection.
  • Familiarity with public cloud service providers such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
  • Understanding of federal compliance standards, including NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles and DNS.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or Telecommunications, coupled with 8+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as SANS GIAC Security Certification, ISC2 CISSP, or equivalent vendor-specific certifications.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
