About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Michael Foods Inc. This is a key leadership position that will be responsible for leading and directing all maintenance work, including emergency repair, reactive maintenance, and proactive maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance team, ensuring that all maintenance work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintenance Execution: Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on shift, using precision maintenance techniques and troubleshooting intermittent failures.
  • Safety and Quality: Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and food safety standards, and participate in daily shift meetings to maintain a floor presence.
  • Technical Planning: Support activities of a technical planner, ensuring that technicians are providing detailed scope in their work orders and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Training and Development: Request gap closure capability of maintenance technicians through the MFI Maintenance skills development program, and assist in training efforts.
  • Communication: Communicate results of work and any follow-up back to customers, including operations team, plant leadership team, QA team, and Safety/Food Safety team.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance operations.
Requirements
  • Education: AA in Engineering, Operations, or applicable technical knowledge, or Degree/Certification from Trade School.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial operations, plant operations, maintenance, utilities, and/or related field.
  • Skills: Competent in using Microsoft Office and CMMS System (preferably SAP), ability to travel for training and continuous improvement activities.
