Job Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Electromechanical Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial mechanical and electrical systems. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including motors, gearboxes, and conveyor systems.
  • Inspect and assess the functionality of production machines and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns, and repair or replace faulty components as needed.
  • Adjust and calibrate mechanical parts and equipment using hand and machine tools.
  • Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
  • Weld, cut, and machine metal components as required.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pumps, valves, and cylinders.
  • Program and set up machinery and equipment for manufacturing, ensuring product specifications are met.
  • Assist in creating, modifying, and revising manufacturing work instructions and process flow documentation.
  • Perform PLC, HMI, and VFD programming, and troubleshoot as needed.
Requirements
  • An associate degree in electrical engineering, industrial maintenance certification, or 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician and mechanical technician.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring, including 120/277/480 volts and 3-phase.
  • Previous experience with PLCs, HMI, and VFDs, including Allen Bradley and RSLogix.
  • Process control experience, including 4-20 mA loops, positioning feedback, and analog controls.
  • Previous experience with temperature control systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems maintenance.
  • Previous experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Skills and Requirements
  • Reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, with the ability to read a tape measure and use a pair of calipers.
  • Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and OSHA safety standards and regulations.
  • Experience with Lock Out Tag Out program policies and procedures.
  • Strong electro-mechanical skills, including the reading and interpretation of schematics and mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in digital multimeters and troubleshooting skills.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, with attention to detail and excellent prioritization and follow-up skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with limited supervision.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Intermittent periods of crouching, kneeling, working in confined areas, and in varied temperatures and outdoors as necessary to safely service equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds at times.
  • Ability to climb a ladder/scaffolding and work on a scissor/man lift.
  • Ability to drive a forklift, scissor lift, and manlift.
