Riverside Research Institute is seeking a highly skilled Flight Operations and Test Pilot to provide technical product support for all aspects of aircraft operations. This individual will be responsible for conducting flight tests, collecting and analyzing aircraft Quality Performance Indicators, and making recommendations to improve aircraft reliability and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical product support for all aspects of aircraft operations, including flight planning, flight testing, ground testing, offsite trouble shooting, and product employment considerations.
- Conduct flight tests on developmental, functional, structural, and system modifications, including major aircraft modifications.
- Collect and analyze aircraft Quality Performance Indicators and make recommendations to Program Managers to improve aircraft reliability and maintainability.
- Test and Flight Operations Director for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft.
- Provide flight management for program aircraft and lead a team of over 100 military and DOD contractor personnel executing flight test and flight operations at various facilities.
- Conduct Acceptance Flights on Big Safari Aircraft at vendor locations.
- Participate in the translation of user operational mission requirements into technical specifications and contractor statements of work.
- Develop and continue ongoing product line enhancement and quality assurance with hardware and software vendors.
- Assist in the management of emergency order/quick reaction capability contracts to solve time-critical issues arising from user requirements.
- Technical publications author for aircraft checklists and associated user manuals for mission equipment and systems.
- Maintain currency and qualification requirements in the assigned aircraft.
- Provide global 24-hour help desk-style support for modified aircraft systems.
- Responsible for providing technical support to aircraft programs.
- A current SECRET Security Clearance (TS/SCI desired).
- Five years of experience and 2000 hours as an Aircraft Commander/Pilot in Command - Military Instructor Pilot and Functional Check Flight (FCF) experience preferred.
- A proven record in problem-solving, effective communication, decision-making, financial management, program, and production management abilities.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products.
- Proficiency in the use of various Electronic Flight Bag applications.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Familiar with DoD information/support systems.
- Extensive military experience as an Aviation Manager and pilot operating within CONUS and OCONUS: ISR experience preferred.
- Current FAA Class II Flight Physical.
- Multi-engine ATP.
- Experience managing/scheduling flight crews and flying hour programs as well as general management of personnel.
- Recent experience in ground and flight safety, military safety preferred.
- Knowledge of the theory of flight, air navigation, meteorology, USAF, FAA, and ICAO directives/instructions, aircraft operating procedures, mission tactics, and aircrew flight operations.
