Job Summary:

Ebenezer is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support our residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care). This role provides hands-on care and support services for our adult short-stay patients at our care center in Edina, MN.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents based on individual care plans with personal cares such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, and showers.
  • Respond to call lights and may check and record vitals as per community patient care model.
  • Turn, lift, or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance.
  • Observe residents and report status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner.
  • Chart or document in electronic medical record system.
  • Seek to resolve resident and family concerns.
  • Receive and give report to appropriate staff during various times in work shift.
  • Perform other duties such as maintaining order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reporting malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answering phones in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Active as Nursing Assistant, Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by start date - OR - Individual who is hired into Ebenezer's Nursing Assistant Course or Ebenezer's Pre-CNA job for Nursing Assistants; will be granted a 4-month post-hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
  • Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population.
  • Communicate efficiently, with empathy and understanding for residents and coworkers.
  • Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant.
  • Work experience in a customer service setting.
