Job Summary

Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies/procedures to ensure the safety of patients.
  • Complete ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations.
  • Demonstrate safety for patients, staff, and self as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
  • Provide clinical services according to specialized ultrasound practice standards and act as a resource to students, nurses, fellows, and other technologists to ensure optimal department functions.
Requirements
  • Certifications: American Registered Radiologic Technologists -ARRT, ARDMS, RDMS or RVT certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or must be registry eligible and obtain certification within 18 months from date of hire;
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start
  • Licensure: None Required
  • Experience: One year of experience in a hospital/healthcare environment in the performance of Specialized Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
