Job Title: Regional Admissions Advisor

Join Oregon State University as a Regional Admissions Advisor and play a key role in shaping the future of higher education. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing undergraduate recruitment efforts in the Seattle region, fostering relationships with high school and community college personnel, and promoting Oregon State University's academic programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key campus departments and external communities to best serve all student populations.
  • Represent OSU at college fairs, high school visits, multicultural events, and other activities in the regional territory.
  • Travel extensively, including evenings and weekends, to maintain a current, valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Support the strategic plan and goals for a diverse and academically competitive student body through recruitment efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to develop and implement recruitment plans, manage budgets, and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Meet with prospective students and their families to advise and counsel them on the admissions application process and status.
  • Develop and maintain reports for programs, pull data to assess the effectiveness of activities and programs, and track budgetary expenditures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited not-for-profit college or university in a relevant field.
  • At least one year of professional work experience in undergraduate admissions at a regionally accredited 4-year not-for-profit college or university.
  • Demonstrable experience in public speaking, public contact, and event planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel extensively, including evenings and weekends, and maintain a current, valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Progressively responsible and varied undergraduate admissions work experience at a large-sized and regionally accredited 4-year not-for-profit college or university.
  • Involvement in NACAC, HACAC, PNACAC, WACAC, RMACAC, and/or other ACAC organizations or regional admissions networks.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the state of Washington demographics, territory management, and public and private high schools.
  • Experience and familiarity with utilizing social media applications, databases, and other student recruitment tools.
