Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Project Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of control systems for our clients in the oil and gas, refining, and petrochemical industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project teams to deliver control systems projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Emerson's quality management system.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, including training and mentoring.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in control systems engineering, with a focus on project management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of control systems, including hardware and software components.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% domestically.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and other control system technologies.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, such as ISA-88 and ISA-95.
  • Experience with project management tools, such as MS Project and Asana.
