We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Brown University Health. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the proper handling of medications, working under the supervision of pharmacists and pharmacy leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Receiving, distribution, and management of medications, including expiration dates and inventory in Pyxis storage
- Repackaging, compounding, and filling orders
- Delivering and stocking medications
- Assisting in revising training materials and demonstrating intermediate skills in pharmacy practice
- Performing hazardoust compounding, batch sterility tests, and monitoring key performance indicators
- Written and oral communication skills
- Basic math skills for compounding
- Ability to work in a team environment and problem-solve
- Ability to provide high-level customer service to patients, visitors, and staff
- Performing gloved fingertip and media fill tests as required
- Maintaining licensure, CPhT, and State registration as required
This is a part-time position with a shift of 4. The work environment is fast-paced, and the individual must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
