Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of data scientists and engineers in developing and deploying AI and machine learning solutions to drive business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with senior business leaders to understand business priorities and identify opportunities for data science and AI to add value.
  • Develop and implement operational plans to achieve departmental objectives and drive business growth.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Ensure rigorous application of controls throughout the data science project lifecycle to minimize model risks and comply with external and internal model governance requirements.
  • Build and manage a strong team of data scientists and engineers, establishing a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive creative and innovative data science and AI applications and results, keeping abreast of industry, market, and company trends.
  • Guide business partners on the interpretation and use of data science results, preparing and delivering presentations that translate analytic insights into actionable solutions.
  • Measure and quantify the business impact of data science and AI solutions, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and increasing team effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of experience in advanced analytics functions, with a strong background in data science and machine learning.
  • Proven track record of leading the development and delivery of advanced data science and AI products and services.
  • Deep experience in applied math and statistical techniques, machine learning methods, and AI applications.
  • Strong computer skills, including Python, R, and cloud-based technology platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a history of engaging constituencies in systematic dialogues to yield powerful new insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor, and develop talent, build teams, and create a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Successful at delivering results in large, matrixed, service-oriented organizations.
  • History of building organizational capabilities, introducing best practices, and successfully building infrastructure to facilitate growth.
