Job Summary

As an Interim Assessment Coordinator at the Houston Independent School District, you will play a critical role in supporting the district's divisions on all interim assessment requirements. This includes coordinating with technology and other departments to match resources with project requirements, directing professional development, and advancing coalition efforts to meet district goals and objectives for student achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interim Assessment Planning and Coordination: Plan, organize, and orchestrate partnerships between technology, curriculum, assessment, and campus-based staffs on interim assessments, including training programs and staff development initiatives.
  • Training and Support: Create and lead training for each of the assessment programs, including on-demand support for campuses during the assessment windows.
  • Incident Management: Support the Director in ensuring all incidents and security claims are handled in alignment with district protocols and integrity.
  • Assessment Strategy Alignment: Work with other department staff to ensure alignment with the assessment strategy and program district-wide.
  • Assessment Program Management: Manage all aspects of assigned assessment programs in cooperation with assessment staff and take lead in optimizing interim assessment programs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Work Experience: 3+ years' experience with Texas public school district summative assessment programs, including the state and national assessments.
  • Skills and Certifications: HISD Connect, Microsoft Office, TEA's vendor platform, and office equipment.
Working Conditions

Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
