Imaging Service Supervisor

As a key member of our team, the Imaging Service Supervisor will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our diagnostic imaging department. This position requires a strong leader who can effectively manage and coordinate the daily activities of technical and support staff. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a similar role and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain proper staffing levels and develop productivity and quality standards.
- Recommend, develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) and Performance Improvement programs.
- Communicate effectively with Manager, Group Leaders, Technologists, Radiologists, and other hospital departments to ensure optimal patient flow and care.
- Provide education and implementation of policies and procedures, and monitor room utilization.
- Establish and maintain an in-service program for Radiologic Technologists.
- Plan, organize, and implement technical and system changes that are cost-effective and benefit patient care.
- Investigate patient, family, physician, nursing, and/or hospital staff complaints and respond in a timely manner.
- Participate in the budget process and operate within budgetary allocations.
- Initiate, participate, and assist in the research, purchase, and implementation of capital acquisitions.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing the technical and clinical practice of Radiology.
- Perform human resources responsibilities for staff, including coaching on performance, completing performance reviews, and maintaining staff morale.
Requirements
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (CNMT) issued by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology, or Associate's Degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
- Typically requires 3 years of experience in a recognized imaging modality, with proven technical knowledge of assigned modality, and experience as a lead or senior level staff.
