Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at McLaren USA. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly disinfected, assembled, and in working order.
  • Ensure the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field in the operating room.
  • Provide supportive care during the pre-operative phase, including preparing patients' skin for surgery and monitoring vital signs.
  • Perform scrub functions during surgery, including passing sterile surgical equipment to surgeons and collecting and labeling specimens.
  • Transport patients after procedures and ensure operating rooms are clean, sterile, and stocked prior to the next procedure.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining logs, and supporting administrative staff as needed.
  • Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology training program with a minimum of 400 hours of clinical experience.
  • One month of job-related experience and/or training.
  • BLS certification.
  • Preferred: Certification as a surgical technologist from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) and one year of experience in a medical setting.
