Position Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York is seeking a Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to enhance our surgical team. This role is pivotal in leading the oral surgery department within a prestigious healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, executing, and overseeing the oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program, including resident recruitment, mentorship, and performance assessments in alignment with accreditation standards.
  • Providing guidance and supervision to residents and dental students in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Performing comprehensive dental and surgical procedures within the scope of expertise under general supervision.
  • Delivering direct patient care with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Actively participating in the department's Quality Assurance initiatives.
  • Supporting the maintenance of high performance standards among medical staff and professionals in the department.
  • Managing emergency on-call duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State dental license.
