We are seeking a Business Process Consultant / Engineer to assist in the operations of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) Program Executive Office (PEO). The DCSA PEO manages a wide array of enterprise-level IT programs that implement best practice methodologies for the creation and delivery of innovative IT solutions, enhancing DCSA's comprehensive National Security capabilities to effectively serve the Department of Defense, the U.S. Government, and the cleared industry. The Business Process Consultant/Engineer will play a crucial role in documenting and redesigning corporate processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and analyze current business processes within the agency to pinpoint inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for enhancement.
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies to assess existing workflows and develop optimized processes.
- Create business intelligence reports and visualizations to facilitate data-driven decision-making through tools such as Tableau and SharePoint.
- Establish and define performance metrics for process improvement initiatives.
- Design and implement refined business processes and solutions aimed at boosting operational efficiency and effectiveness in a security-oriented context.
- Engage with various stakeholders across the PEO to gather requirements and ensure processes are aligned with agency goals and regulatory standards.
- Leverage data analytics and performance metrics to assess process effectiveness, providing recommendations based on analytical insights.
- Document processes comprehensively, including process maps, workflows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring adherence to agency standards.
- Offer training and support to agency personnel on new processes and systems, ensuring effective transitions and adoption.
- Lead and oversee process improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely execution and compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Guarantee that all processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, particularly those relevant to defense counterintelligence and security.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline; relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) are highly valued.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in business process analysis, design, and implementation, particularly in security or defense-related settings. Proven experience managing complex business operations and processes at the federal government level is essential.
- Expertise in process modeling tools and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SQL), with a solid grasp of process optimization techniques.
- Experience in project management, with a thorough understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to manage intricate projects within a security-focused agency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting complex data and making informed decisions to enhance security processes.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to operate within a regulated environment, adhering to compliance and security standards specific to defense counterintelligence and security.
- Must possess an active, current DoD Secret Clearance.
