The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Associate to join our Facilities Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our buildings, ensuring that they are safe and welcoming for students, faculty, and staff.

About the Job
This position involves working independently and as part of a team to clean and maintain assigned buildings, including public spaces and restrooms. You will be responsible for ensuring the curb appeal and cleanliness of academic buildings, keeping premises orderly and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will have six months of experience in custodial maintenance work and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. A class C operator's driver's license is also required.

Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain assigned buildings, including public spaces and restrooms
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks
- Ensure the curb appeal and cleanliness of academic buildings, keeping premises orderly and well-maintained
- Respond to emergencies such as floods and perform clean-up duties
- Perform overtime work as required, including before and after shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency responses

Requirements
- Six months of experience in custodial maintenance work
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Class C operator's driver's license required
