About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse II to join our team at the Georgia Department of Public Health. As a key member of our public health team, you will play a vital role in protecting the lives of Georgians and promoting healthy lifestyles in diverse communities statewide.

Responsibilities
  • Provide general direct nursing care to injured, ill, convalescent or disabled individuals, including administering medication and giving injections.
  • Work under general supervision to fulfill the responsibilities of the role, utilizing your expertise to support the Department's mission and vision.
Requirements
  • Vocational/Technical degree from an accredited college AND current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • At least six months of nursing experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include BLS certification, immunization administration, and public health experience.
