POSITION SUMMARY:

WR Systems is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Engineer, Lead to engage in the design, coding, testing, debugging, configuration, and documentation of operating systems and software tailored for both Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and embedded processors.

Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting independent analyses of hardware and software interfaces to identify alternatives for optimizing computer resource utilization and modern hardware solutions.
  • Offering assistance and routine consultation to users in the development and integration of systems and environments.
  • Developing embedded radar distribution capabilities utilizing FPGA's, SOC's, and microcontrollers.
  • Reviewing and creating architectures, component functional allocations, flows, interfaces, system processing, and performance for AN/SPA systems.
  • Crafting descriptions and data flows of proposed systems while performing requirement analysis.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering, accompanied by three (3) years of full-time professional experience in the design, development, production, or testing of electronic, electro-mechanical, and/or hydro-electronic equipment, including one (1) year of full-time experience.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of professional experience in systems, software, electrical, or mechanical engineering, with at least three (3) years of full-time professional experience in the design, development, production, or testing of electronic, electro-mechanical, and/or hydro-electronic equipment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, VHDL, and AHDL.
  • Experience in embedded systems development, debugging, troubleshooting, and real-time operating systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to problem-solve and collaborate effectively within engineering teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
