Job Title: Embedded Engineer, Lead

WR Systems is seeking an experienced Embedded Engineer, Lead to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting operating systems and software for both Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and embedded processors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze the performance of hardware and software interfaces and identify alternatives for optimizing the usage of computer resources and modern hardware solutions.
  • Provide assistance and routine consultation to users in the development and integration of systems and environments.
  • Develop embedded radar distribution capabilities utilizing FPGA's, SOC's and microcontrollers.
  • Review and develop architectures, component functional allocation and flows, interfaces, system processing and performance for AN/SPA systems.
  • Develop descriptions and data flows of proposed systems and perform requirement analysis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with three (3) years of full-time professional experience in the design, development, production, or testing of electronic, electro-mechanical and/or hydro-electronic equipment, with one (1) year of full-time experience.
  • Six (6)+ years of professional experience in systems, software, electrical or mechanical engineering with three (3) years of having full-time professional experience in the design, development, production, or testing of electronic, electro-mechanical, and/or hydro-electronic equipment.
  • Programming experience in languages such as C, C++, VHDL, AHDL.
  • Experience in embedded systems development, debugging, and troubleshooting and with real-time operating systems.
  • Must be analytical and have the ability to problem-solve with a track record of working well on engineering teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to continually learn and improve.
  • FPGA experience.
