Ophthalmic Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Semel Vision Care. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our physicians and optometrists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take detailed patient histories and accurately perform diagnostic testing, including Humphrey Visual Field, OCT scans, A-scans, Corneal Topography, and color testing.
- Assist with minor procedures, prepare patients for laser and additional procedures, and maintain the strictest confidentiality.
- Provide excellent customer service, communicate effectively, and multitask with ease.
- Maintain accurate records, follow company procedures, and report to the technician supervisor and Practice Administrator as needed.
- Participate in cross-training and assist with back and front office procedures, including inventory management and patient education.
Requirements:
- Strong computer and typing skills, with experience in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain efficient patient/doctor workflow.
- COA, COT certification recommended but not mandatory.
- Reliable transportation and a strong team player attitude.
