About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Leak Repair Technician to join our team at COLT SERVICES LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for detecting, locating, evaluating, and repairing leaks onsite at client work locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety First: Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices, alerting others regarding potential hazards.
  • Perform Duties as Assigned: Adhere to Colt's Core Values and perform all duties as assigned.
  • Assess and Repair Leaks: Assist in assessing leaking components and report findings to operations, engineering, and customer representatives.
  • Leak Repair Operations: Assist in leak repair operations, including drill and tap of components, wire wrap and banding, use of measuring tools, and various clamp and enclosure installation.
  • On-Call Status: Maintain on-call status with the ability to respond to customers rapidly and travel immediately to address customer emergencies onsite.
  • Quality Control: Assist in inspecting leak repair devices provided by manufacturing as part of quality control prior to installation.
  • Documentation and Administration: Assist with documentation and administrative procedures as required from a job to job basis.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with field personnel, client representatives, and management to obtain successful completions of projects.
  • Product and Service Awareness: Maintain awareness of company products and services available to customers.
  • Sales Support: Be willing to assist with sales functions throughout assigned territory.
  • Direction and Attendance: Take direction from supervisory and maintain good attendance.
  • Quality Procedures and Safety Culture: Adhere to quality procedures and demonstrate a strong safety culture.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school or related education preferred.
  • Mechanical Aptitude and Skills: Entry-level position but must have mechanical aptitude and skills.
  • Experience: Some experience with on-line leak repair preferred.
  • Drug Screening: Must be able to pass routine and random drug screening.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to understand, speak, and write English.
  • Time Management and Multitasking: Ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
  • OSHA Certification: Have obtained or has the ability to obtain OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certification.
Work Conditions
  • Branch or Site Location: Position is based out of a branch or site location with a geographic responsibility.
  • Field Duties: Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant or industrial atmosphere.
  • Interaction with Others: Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and customer personnel.
  • Production Machinery: Working around production machinery with extreme heat and noise levels.
  • Extreme Environments: May be required to work in or near extreme hot or cold environments.
  • Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection on a per job basis.
  • Travel: May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.
  • Walking and Climbing: Must be able to walk and climb throughout industrial areas, including steps and ladders.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate with customers in high-stress environments.
  • Work on Elevated Surfaces: Ability to work on elevated or hard-to-reach surfaces and areas in a variety of locations throughout industrial facilities.
  • Time Management: Must be able to manage time and schedule on a weekly basis and be able to travel when necessary to offsite locations.
  • Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively on a variety of job scopes for different locations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, must be able to follow Standard Operating Procedures, evaluate each individual job scope, and mitigate all safety hazards with proper safety precautions and personal protective equipment.
