Job Title: Clinical RDN

Adventist Health is seeking a skilled Clinical RDN to join our team in Delano, California.

Job Summary:

As a Clinical RDN, you will provide comprehensive nutritional care to patients and residents identified with special needs and/or those who meet nutritional risk criteria. Your responsibilities will include patient assessment and reassessment, patient and family education, interdisciplinary communication, nutritional plan of care development, and documentation of all interventions in accordance with policy and acceptable practice standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive initial nutritional assessments and ongoing reassessments of patients' nutritional conditions and stability.
  • Develop and implement effective nutritional plans of care, including meal patterns, monitoring of nutritional intake, and initiation of appropriate interventions.
  • Provide nutritional education to patients, families, and healthcare team members, including dietetic interns.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
  • Document patient responses to nutritional interventions and adjust plans as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or equivalent.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification within 6 months of completion of residency program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
