Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control and Assurance Manager to join our team at Maryland Packaging. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our food products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day quality control operations to ensure compliance with SQF, FDA, and USDA standards.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure consistent quality output.
  • Conduct mock audits to prepare for official inspections and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage sanitation protocols and ensure cleanliness throughout the facility.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure that quality and safety standards are met.
  • Investigate and resolve any quality or safety incidents or customer complaints.
  • Stay current with regulatory changes and ensure that the facility's compliance with new regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control, specifically within SQF, FDA, and USDA regulated environments.
  • Must be an SQF practitioner and have led 4 successful audits with a minimum of 97/100.
  • Proven ability to manage audit documentation and perform hands-on quality assurance tasks.
  • Expertise in conducting mock audits and managing sanitation processes.
  • Detailed knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and other food safety standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
