Quality and Patient Safety Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality and Patient Safety Nurse Consultant to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our organization, you will work closely with client organizations to promote a culture of safety, high reliability, and performance excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct on-site visits to evaluate standards of care and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Provide feedback to staff members on quality and patient safety matters, and communicate issues to leadership.
- Audit nursing documentation to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
- Review incidents and accidents to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement quality and safety programs to mitigate organizational risk.
- Current and valid registration as a professional nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
- At least 5 years of full-time experience as an RN in a recognized hospital or psychiatric facility.
- Supervisory, administrative, or managerial capacity preferred, as well as a graduate degree in Nursing.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff and set priorities effectively.
