About the RoleThis is a temporary assignment to address staffing shortages in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and other healthcare facilities.
As a locum obstetrician/gynecologist, you will provide comprehensive healthcare for women across all stages of life.
You will conduct gynecological exams, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic procedures, as well as perform surgical procedures, such as hysterectomies, cesarean sections, and minimally invasive surgeries.
You will also diagnose and treat a wide range of women's health conditions, provide counseling on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care.
Maintaining accurate and complete medical records for all patients is also a key responsibility.
Additionally, you will stay current on the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuing education.
RequirementsEducation: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
Residency Training: Residency training program in obstetrics and gynecology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
License & Certifications: Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or the AOA, and an active and unrestricted medical license in Washington.
Experience: At least one year of experience providing obstetric and gynecological care in a clinical or hospital setting.
