Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

By utilizing technology, we connect our providers and care team with school nurses to diagnose and treat students and staff for both acute illness and well care.
Job Summary:We are seeking a sharp and innovative Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our SchoolMed Team as a PRN provider to help serve our districts during the school year and summer months at our Sports Participation clinics and wellness fairs.
Key Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with the SchoolMed care team and district staff to render age-appropriate care.
- Practice under established protocols and policies.
- Assume independent responsibilities in the assessment, diagnosis, and the initiation of treatment.
- Order point of care testing and medications.
- Knowledge of pediatric assessment and treatment.
- 2 years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner (PNP, FNP) or Physician Assistant required.
- Current, valid, unencumbered license as a registered nurse (RN) from the Texas Board of Nursing and ability to obtain licensure in other states (For NP's only).
- Active Certification - By national certifying bodies recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner (PNP-BC / FNP-BC) -or- NCCPA.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish preferred but not required.
- Customer service focus.
- Willingness to travel both regionally and as needed both in and out of state preferred but not required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English speaker.
- Live in the Fort Worth, TX area.
- Willing to travel within TX.
- Amenable to a PRN position to participate in Wellness events (January-May, with potential to extend).
- Ability to see patients of all ages (FNP, PA with peds & adult experience, Family Physician, Med/Peds).
- Several years experience of hands-on clinical care with children and adolescents.
- Experienced in and prefer paced work (ED, Urgent Care).
- Dual licensure to practice in Texas and Florida.
