About the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences
The Department of Crop and Soil Sciences at the University of Georgia is a premier department that conducts basic and applied research in cultivar development, genetics, and biotechnology; crop management, physiology, and weed management; and environmental sciences and natural resource management. With teaching, research, and extension faculty at all three locations, we provide valuable services to clientele in the state of Georgia and contribute to the body of knowledge essential for agricultural production and environmental management.

Research Focus Areas
The Griffin Campus of the University of Georgia focuses on the following research areas: turfgrass science, food safety and quality enhancement, biotechnology and genetics, crop and pest management, environmental and natural resource management, and urban agriculture. As a researcher in this field, you will be part of a team dedicated to advancing knowledge in these areas and applying it to real-world challenges.

Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have a Ph.D. in Turfgrass Science or a related field, with a strong background in turfgrass breeding and genetics. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and community members.
