Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team at Interim HealthCare of NEPA. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.

Salary & Benefits

About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Caregiving Tasks: Providing personal care and hygiene assistance, assisting with daily needs such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating, and nutritional intake
  • Patient Support: Assisting with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises, checking vitals, measuring intake/output, monitoring blood glucose, and documenting any changes
  • Observation and Reporting: Observing patients and notifying supervisors of issues requiring a change in care, medication, or equipment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of six months caregiving experience
  • CPR certification and First Aid training
  • Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
  • A compassionate nature, good communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Location & Work Environment

This role is based in Scranton, PA, and offers a variety of work locations throughout Lackawanna County. You will work closely with our experienced team to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in need.
