Job Overview

Position Summary: The role of a Frame Builder involves the meticulous assembly of wooden structures for various types of furniture, including sofas, loveseats, and chairs. This position demands a high level of manual skill, precision, and a keen eye for detail to ensure that all products meet the company's stringent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilizes pneumatic staple guns to construct wooden frames for sofas, loveseats, and chairs.
  • Arranges pre-cut components and employs adhesives, staples, or screws to assemble furniture frames, ensuring structural integrity.
  • Trims and finishes edges of frames, securing parts together with nails, screws, or bolts, and attaches legs, arms, and back pieces using pneumatic tools.
  • May involve cutting wood parts to specified dimensions using power tools.
  • Responsible for attaching hardware to the wooden furniture frames as needed.
  • May be designated by specific assembly tasks, such as Arm Builder, Back Builder, or Center Frame/Floor Frame Builder, and other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong hand-eye coordination is essential.
  • Proficient in the use of pneumatic power tools, particularly staple guns.
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment while maintaining safety as a priority.
  • Physical capability to bend and lift frame components throughout the work shift.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods (8 – 10 hours daily).
  • Dependability in attendance and ability to follow directions in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Previous experience in furniture frame construction is highly preferred.
