Occupational Therapist

The Occupational Therapist - Clinical Expert will be responsible for developing and implementing effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. This role requires a collaborative environment, maintaining confidentiality, and fostering a supportive atmosphere for patient recovery and independence.
Responsibilities:
- Collects and records patient care data, including initial evaluation, daily notes, reassessments/progress reports, discharge plans, and communication with the team.
- Selects and administers tests and measures, synthesizing evaluation results to formulate the diagnosis, goals, prognosis, and plan of care.
- Establishes treatment plans based on evaluation results, goals, and best practice, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, patients, and their support systems.
- Provides education/training to patients and/or their support systems, focusing on functional training, neurological interventions, musculoskeletal interventions, and other areas as needed.
- Oversees support staff, attends annual JAG PT Billing and Coding seminars, presents in-services, and promotes JAG PT in the community through lectures/presentations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree required, Doctorate degree preferred.
- Licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Completed state-regulated CEU requirements in the appropriate state (NY, NJ).
- Valid CPR License.
- Experience/knowledge with EMR software preferred.
- Excellent oral, written communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
- 1+ year(s) professional OT experience.
- Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.
- Basic computer skills.
- Works as a team member and individually with minimal supervision.
- Maintains a positive, professional demeanor at all times.
