About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at LHC Group in West Orange, NJ.

This position involves working with patients in Livingston, Millburn, West Orange, Maplewood, South Orange, and surrounding areas.

As an Occupational Therapist with us, you can expect:

  • To assess and evaluate patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, and adaptive equipment
  • To provide service within the scope of practice as defined by state laws governing the practice of Occupational Therapy, in accordance with the plan of care, using evidence-based techniques, and in coordination with other members of the health care team.
  • To work independently and autonomously, conducting patient assessments and developing therapy plans of care.
  • To access continuing education and tuition reimbursement opportunities

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including an estimated annual salary of $90,000.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, and adaptive equipment.

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans of care, using evidence-based techniques and in coordination with other members of the health care team.
  • Evaluate the patient's functional status, status of all body systems as required for CMS documentation, and occupational therapy needs. Consult with the physician in the development of the therapy plan of care.
  • Conduct patient assessments evaluating the level of function by applying diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of New Jersey
  • A current CPR certification
  • A current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation

NJ: Must be certified as an Occupational Therapist and registered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and at least 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
