This is a maintenance position with a schedule of 4x10s and occasional overtime - No Per Diem provided.
Position Overview:
The HVAC Maintenance Technician will assist HVAC Technicians in the installation, repair, and upkeep of various equipment including refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, electric motors, heating devices, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, semi-hermetic compressors, split systems, flame safeguard controls, air compressors, air driers, and packaged units across the district. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis, planning, and execution of preventive maintenance for HVAC systems.
- Coordinate shutdowns for maintenance and repair of chill water, heating water, and condensation pumps.
- Perform brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding, and fabrication tasks.
- Interpret complex blueprints, piping layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Inspect, monitor, repair, maintain, and operate mechanical systems, motors, compressors, pumps, fans, ducts, pipes, thermostats, and switches.
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, glycol, hot water, and steam distribution systems to enhance performance and energy efficiency.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and modify HVAC systems as necessary.
- Comply with all applicable city, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain maintenance records in accordance with City, State, and EPA requirements.
- Order and manage parts necessary for the repair and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
- Manage relationships with key vendor accounts.
- Safeguard and properly maintain district assets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: Minimum HVAC education requirements.
Certifications/Licenses: A valid Driver's License and a TWIC Card are required.
Experience: A minimum of 6 months of industrial experience, including work on chillers.
