We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our team at Carnival Corporation. This role is a critical component of our supply chain operations, and the successful candidate will play a key part in driving cost savings, improving supplier performance, and fostering strong relationships with our strategic partners.

Job Overview

This Strategic Sourcing Specialist position is an excellent opportunity for individuals who possess a deep understanding of the cruise industry and a passion for procurement excellence. As a member of our sourcing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies, managing timelines, and ensuring that contracts are in place on-time within the global markets where our vessels operate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support global sourcing strategies with best-in-class suppliers through thoughtful Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) planning and data analysis.
  • Execute annual initiative plans by managing timelines, meeting contracting deadlines, and frequently communicating on initiatives' status.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, manage Request for Proposal/Request for Quote (RFP/RFQ) processes, and day-to-day category management activities.
  • Oversee portfolios of contracts, build and maintain supplier relationships, and hold suppliers accountable to deliver contractual requirements.
  • Support Strategic Sourcing - Category Manager/s on program management within procurement systems and perform deeper category analytics.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree/MBA preferred.
  • Certifications: CPSM, CPM, APICS preferred.
  • 3-7 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, and/or category management.
  • BS/BA in relevant field (or equivalent years' experience) with education in supply chain, business administration, economics, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Food, beverage, hotel category sourcing experience (preferred).
  • Cruise, hospitality, foodservice industry experience (preferred).
  • MBA/CPSM/CPM/APICS (preferred).
