Civil Engineering Internship Opportunity

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in our Ft. Worth - Downtown office. As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of technical tasks, including project research, field work, observation, and preliminary design calculations.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare preliminary analysis on technical tasks
  • Conduct project research, field work, and observation
  • Perform preliminary design calculations
  • Use CAD to prepare and check working drawings, details, layouts, and estimates
  • Assist in the preparation of exhibits, plot plans, lot fits, or other similar tasks by discipline
Requirements:
  • Currently working towards completion of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized field
  • Growing knowledge of profession as demonstrated by involvement in related professional organizations and professional development programs
  • Basic knowledge of the firm's policies, practices, and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of software required for position
  • Good organizational skills
  • Able to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computations
