About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled C4I Systems Engineer to join our team at MITRE. As a C4I Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing secure communication systems for government agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform in-depth analyses of current and future communication systems, identifying areas for improvement and developing data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice on communication system design and implementation.
  • Develop and lead teams to design, implement, and test communication systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of security and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in communication systems and technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the technical work portfolio through sponsor and internal engagement.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, with a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent.
  • Technical expertise in one or more areas of communication systems, including cellular, satellite communications, mesh radios, and land mobile radio.
  • Experience with system modeling and simulation tools, such as Ansys Systems Tool Kit (STK), MATLAB, and others.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Active Secret clearance required, with the ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) fitness and/or component suitability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in a STEM field, such as electrical engineering, radar engineering, or systems engineering.
  • Programming skills in languages such as C++ or similar.
