Job Summary

Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to oversee all accounting and control functions within a particular division. This includes revenue and expense reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and monthly financial reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in end-to-end management of the finance function
  • Provide strategic financial support to operations to identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost containment
  • Analyze and interpret financial results to advise the General Manager and Corporate Team
  • Maintain effective system and control procedures
  • Prepare financial statements within corporate closing schedules and according to Company Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and management of AP & AR
  • Prepare sales, use occupancy tax returns, and other external reports as necessary
  • Ensure integrity and efficiency of computerized data processing functions
  • Compile and submit financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and other information within specified time limits

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Seven plus years of business experience in a similar position
  • Microsoft Excel and Access application development experience helpful
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Microsoft Office, SAP GL, SAP Payroll experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
