Job Description

Focus Staff is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a contract assignment in a healthcare facility.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a temporary basis. As a member of our Respiratory Team, you will be responsible for developing and ensuring the patient plan of care in collaboration with physicians, registered nurses, and other therapists.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients and recommend treatment plans to ensure optimal respiratory care.
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
  • Insert and remove endotracheal tubes as needed.
  • Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement in respiratory care.
  • Teach and counsel patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Current CPR or BCLS certification.
  • BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Work Experience

At least 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
