Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HIPAA Security Specialist to join our team at CHICKASAW NATION INDUSTRIES INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Health and Human Services (HHS), Office for Civil Rights (OCR) in promoting the right to access health information and protecting the privacy and security of this information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review security and privacy complaints, data breach notification, and cybersecurity incident reports to determine non-compliance with the HIPAA Security Rule.
  • Assess the overall impact of security and privacy incidents on healthcare organizations across the nation.
  • Evaluate and determine the technical sufficiency of submissions from HIPAA covered entities and business associates in response to data and documentation requests.
  • Develop written reports with technical security analyses, summaries, and recommendations for action.
  • Provide expertise in the development and evaluation of health information privacy policies and technologies.
  • Design, implement, and manage information security, data protection, and risk management programs.
  • Provide advisory expertise in areas such as risk analyses, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and security architecture.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a comparable field of study.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIPP/CIPT/CIPT.
