Job Summary

PFM Ireland is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Consultant to join our team. As a Senior Financial Consultant, you will be responsible for developing complex financial models to deliver bond proceeds investments recommendations to clients and assist PFM's financial advisory project managers meet internal needs of the business and provide industry leading service to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and run procurement processes for bond proceeds investments including escrows and structured investments
  • Prepare comprehensive reporting on bond proceeds investments strategies to help clients comply with all applicable IRS regulations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients
  • Provide analytic and project management support for financial advisory and derivative products client engagements and marketing activities, including debt transaction advisory services
  • Assist in the development, distribution, and implementation of thought leadership initiatives across PFM through its structured products, quantitative strategies, and swap advisory practices
  • Mentor and teach analysts on your team
  • Ensure compliance with matters related to regulatory rules and regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five years of public finance experience in an advisory, municipal, banking, legal, or rating capacity
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in Excel and financial modeling
  • Strong skills in DBC and/or DBC PortOpt
  • Willingness and ability to learn new financial modeling software and programming tools, including What's Best linear optimization software, MBRM derivative software, and VBA programming
  • In-depth knowledge of public finance, the municipal bond market, and many forms of debt issuances
  • Relevant graduate degree and/or CFA charter preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to manage client relationships with client staff, elected officials, and any other stakeholders
  • Written and oral communication skills to explain complex financial issues to non-experts
  • Ability to manage and delegate tasks to your team
  • Ability to review and edit client deliverables with a high degree of attention to detail
