Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ground Maintenance Technician to join our team at Delta Air Lines, Inc. As a key member of our Ground Support Equipment team, you will be responsible for completing repairs and performing preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment, including motors, controls, and pneumatic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Locate and repair malfunctions in mechanical devices using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and using measuring instruments.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic equipment by troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and calibrating industrial equipment and test equipment.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock, anticipating needs, and expediting orders.
  • Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year degree or three years of demonstrated ability preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States required.
  • Ability to lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds.
  • Willingness to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Detailed understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic subject areas.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, manuals, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
