Job Summary

QualX, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Lead Nuclear Weapons Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our nuclear division, you will be responsible for reviewing and identifying classified information in government records, developing classification guidance, and collaborating with technical experts to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and identify classified information in government records
  • Develop classification guidance
  • Collaborate with technical experts to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on nuclear weapons-related topics

Requirements

Education:

  • Master's degree in engineering or physical science from an accredited college or university

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in nuclear weapons design, nuclear material production, counterintelligence, weapon science, and military utilization of nuclear weapons
  • Three years of field experience in each technical area related to nuclear weapons
  • Two-year tour of duty as a Military Research Associate (MRA) or equivalent
  • Access to SCI clearance
  • Ability to read and understand complex technical documents at an advanced level
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Experience identifying classified information and developing classification guidance
  • Knowledge of DOE requirements for Derivative Classifiers (DC), UCNI Reviewing Officials, and Derivative Declassifiers (DD)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical experts
  • Familiarity with nuclear intelligence and counterintelligence operations
  • Experience working in a government or national laboratory setting with nuclear weapons programs is desired
